Is Uttar Pradesh becoming a Crime Pradesh?

On 24 August 2020 , Ratan Singh , one of the journalist of private news channel was brutally beaten with lathis and then shot dead  in Phephna village of Ballia District .UP Police said that this has happened because of land dispute between two neighbours after the family of journalist kept straw on that disputed land. However , Ratan's father denied the police statement saying there had been no quarrel over keeping straw on that day. Both Police and Ratan's father are going on seperate roads , don't know who is right and who is wrong.

Indian Media is considered as the 4th pillar of our constitution and if this media is not safe then how can one think about common citizens. Lets us move towards some stats.

According to the annual report of National Crime Records Bureau(2018) , a case of rape is registered every two hours and crime against a child is reported every 90 mins in the state. Uttar Pradesh topped the list with 59,445 crimes against women in 2018. The report claimed that 4,322 rape cases were filed with almost 12 taking place daily. UP also recorded 2,444 dowry deaths .

On 26 August 2020 , An 18 year old Dalit girl who went out to fill an online application related to education was found raped and murdered in Lakhimpur Kheri. This is the second case within a week in which a Dalit girl became the victim of cruelty . she may have never thought that the way on which she is going to get one step closure towards her ambition will cost her with such cruel death.

On 11 August 2020 , A very brilliant and promising student Sudiksha Bhati who was studying in the US at a scholarship of 3.80 crore came back in India due to Covid-19 . She was on the way to meet her relatives in Bulandshahr on bike driven by her minor brother . Her family said she was allegedly chased by harrasers who were doing stunts on their bike and due to which a road accident happened where sudiksha lost her life. Despite this, the police did not agree to accept this as a molestation case and filed an FIR of road accident. No one would have thought the last hope of tea seller(father) will die this way. Who should be blamed for this?

These are just a few cases that can make anyone's mind go out after hearing. If i start telling everything , then the place will fall short. Did we imagine this kind of Ram Rajya ?Will the sleeping government never make these problems its issue? Will the chatukar media  debate on these problems or will remain busy in sushant singh rajput and Hindu Muslim Debates?
